The different forms of vitamin B6
Vitamin B6, commonly known as pyridoxine, exists in three different forms: pyridoxine, pyridoxal and pyridoxamine. All three of these forms can be converted into each other in the human organism. They also have the same effect.
The activated form of vitamin B6 is called pyridoxal phosphate, which can be produced by the body itself. A requirement for this, however, is a sufficient supply of the above-mentioned precursors.
Functions of pyridoxine
The vitamin, which belongs to the so-called vitamin B complex of 8 water-soluble b vitamins, performs numerous tasks in the body. It
