The family of Passifloraceae includes over 530 species. Passiflora incarnata contained in the passion flower capsules by Vitamintrend in the form of an extract, is native to the tropical rainforest in South and Central America as well as East India. The name passion flower means flower of passion. It derives from the Latin words passio = passion and flos = flower.
