Arginine, ornithine, lysine: amino acid complex
Arginine works closely together with the amino acid ornithine, from which it is produced in the urea metabolism. Therefore the intake of ornithine increases the effect of arginine.
Arginine and lysine belong to the proteinogenic amino acids, which are able to build up proteins. Since arginine can be formed in the organism from L-ornithine, it is semi-essential for humans. Lysine, on the other hand, cannot be produced by the body, which is therefore dependent on food intake.
